CheerpJ Applet Runner runs legacy Java Applets embedded in web pages directly in modern browsers. It converts the applet’s Java bytecode to JavaScript on the fly through CheerpJ and links it to the CheerpJ runtime, so applets keep working without the Java plugin browsers dropped years ago.

It supports standard Java 8 functionality including Swing, AWT, networking, file system access, and clipboard access, and has over 100,000 users across Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers.
